GymRat is useful tool. I like that I am able to get updates on class changes via email as well as on Facebook. I like how the application gives you exercise options. It might be helpful if it could adjust the weight and reps depending on the users height, weight, body fat and skill level. I will continue to use this application.

Before I purchase the app, does it support metric weights and measures?

Tim Stephenson said on Friday, August 28, 2009:

Hi Paul

Yes it does. Go to the settings from the spring board. Select GymRat and there you can adjust preferences for weight and distance.

Does this app allow me to record measurements, BMI and Body Fat % for each clients? I would like to be able to keep record of this info so we can track each customer progress. So I am looking for the ability to set up multiple entries for each client. It would also be great if it calculated the differences between each subsequent entry so client can see over total of inches or bf% lost.
If not and it's something you are interested in adding to GymRat, I can send a PDF of the doc we use to input this info for clients.
Thanks,
Tracy

I'm thinking of using this program, changing over from GymBuddy. It looks pretty cool, but I've got some questions.

In future editions, will the ability to input multiple sets with different weight and reps into the workout log? Also, will there be additional categories for bike rides (road and mountain) to log those types of workouts as well?

Ellen said on Tuesday, November 03, 2009:

Tracy - you can enter the BMI, weight and % body fat for each client. However, when you edit this information it writes over the last entry. Doesn't currently save any data that is not logged. But we've added this to our list of possible updates. Thank for your input!

Ellen said on Tuesday, November 03, 2009:

Al - Adding multiple sets is possible by duplicating the exercise in your workout list. Once you've added an exercise to your exercise list, you need only select it again to add it to your workout. That may seem like a workaround, but we thought it was easier to view in the log this way. We're still reviewing this one for a better solution.
